Cosy crochet works

It’s cold and chilly outside – time to get started with some new crochet projects. Maybe I have some inspiration for you.

holly rva

Holly, one of the amazing red velvet girls shares this nice tutorial for a crocheted afghan on the rva’s blog. I really like the colours.

rachel

Rachel, also a red velvet girl, prepared this granny square blanket for the arrival of her new baby girl. An awesome project with, I guess about 70 granny squares. Doesn’t the picture look perfect? Blogged here.

attic 24

This lovely picture belongs to Lucy’s blog Attic24. Every now and then she shares nice tutorial on different crochet projects on her blog. This is also where I learned to crochet granny squares and hexagons. I want to take a nap on this couch as soon as possible.

And some eye candy from Sarah London. Just gorgeous. Without a word.

Tasty Moments

Whenever I’m ill I start thinking about healthy food and what I would like to eat right now. Unfortunately I’m a little bit unsatisfied with vegetables, I don’t like them that much. Not to say I hate them. I prefer fruits or vegetables cooked in a way that I can’t identify them as vegetable or healthy.

Today I’m still feeling a little bit sick and I’m not working on new projects / patterns or tutorials and so I’m thinking about what to cook (or better: what my husband has to cook for us today ). I want to share some nice recipes with you.

creamed-spinach

Creamed Spinach with Bacon – looks very yummie and I really like spinach. And maybe I do love bacon. Ooooh yes, I do.

potatoes-cheese-tomatoes-new

New potatoes with Cheese and Tomatoes – I like tomatoes and I love cheese. For me every meal could be bacon and cheese. Well – maybe this wouldn’t be that healthy.

IMG_4150

Asian Roasted Carrots – I’m not sure if I would eat them. My husband would – he’s a total vegetable junkie. But they really look nice on this white table.

sauerkraut-bacon-apple

Sauerkraut with Bacon and Apples – I know I’m german and I have to deal with the cliché of Germans loving Sauerkraut. In fact I really like eating it in autumn and winter and it tastes great. And apples are fine too and as you can see I obviously do have a bacon problem. If you’re looking for some recipes or some cooking inspiration try this amazingly great blog. Nom nom nom.

Take a look at this great offer. I’m thinking about joining MaedchenmitHerz’s online class. Sounds like great fun and the projects look so gorgeous.

heavenlycute_onlineclassAnd there’s also a giveaway at the moment so make sure to visit her blog.

At the moment I am totally in love with the new (okay new here in Germany) tv show Secret Diary Of A Call Girl. At first I didn’t want to watch it but now I enjoy every episode. It’s so interesting to see this theme from such a perspective. And I really like the style of Belle / Hannah, very classy „at work“

and so relaxed at home. Very cool.

I guess as I’m feeling a little bit exhausted and sick at the moment and as it is a national holiday in Germany today I am going to stay in bed enjoy a few more episodes.

As I promised a while ago – there will be a tutorial when I’m back. So here it is – crocheted yarn spools. I wanted to make some autumn-coloured decoration and then the idea came. The spools are really easy and quick to make. You can have them in many different colours, they’re a nice gift for every crafty person ou know and they will look super cute on your working desk.

Here’s the english version.

Hier gibt es die deutsche Version.

Hope you enjoy making them and show me some pictures please.

I’m back

29102009133

I’m back and I want to share this nice autumn view with you. I took the picture on the way back from university where I passed the exam today. I can’t tell you how relieved I am right now. I learned so much and it definitively paid off, because I did a 1,0. Feels so good.

Make sure to come back tomorrow, I’ll prepare a nice little tutorial for you.

CIMG2790

Dear lovely readers,

I have to take a break from blogging. It will be two weeks or so, I think I will be back by the first november days. There’s so much happening at the moment, so much to do and learn. I will have my first final exam in university at the end of october and I really have to get prepared for this. That’s why I don’t have much time left for this blog and as I don’t want to disappoint my readers I’m taking this little break. I hope to have my next free pattern ready when I’m back. So don’t forget my blog and come back to me.

And once again I had to tidy up and get the mess into some kind of a system. I always work with to-do-lists and little notes but this doesn’t seem to work at the moment. I want to try so many things and get even more things done. New patterns, improving my knitting skills, writing thesis for university, spend more time with friends. And I always want to spend even more time letting other people know how much I appreciate their work, their blog, their pictures, their free patterns or great tutorials. But there is never enough time on a day with 24 hours. It is never. Does anybody has any tricks on time management? At least I’m on time with my christmas gift projects. And I will definitively have another free amigurumi pattern before christmas and some special offers in my etsy shop for all the halloween-fans out.

By the way, make sure to visit mygurumi’s blog these days, she announced a halloween surprise. This might be interesting, I’m really looking forward to this.

mygurumi(The gorgeous picture is from her blog, click it and you will get there)

You have to visit this great crafty resource and you will definitively find many great ideas, projects, tutorials and inspirations there. And today you will also find my Halloween Party Squad there. I’m so proud, this is my first time there. Thank you so much!

Snaily

So as I promised here is my first free amigurumi pattern: Lennart – the snail. Lennart is very easy to make and you’ll love him. Don’t you think he might look great next to that cute flower in your kitchen or on the bookshelf in your living room? Have fun making him!

Here’s the english version.

Hier gibt’s auch eine deutsche Version von Lennart.
